Trend on a budget | Grammy 2014 metallic dresses

Metallic madness at the Grammy Awards 2014

I started my morning with a fatty crossaint, a cup of coffee and a slideshow of yesterdays red carpet looks. It seemed like celebrities were really digging metallic gowns last night at the Grammy Awards. I personally loved Ciara's dress. What's your favorite look?

Oh and, make sure to check out these very affordable fierce metallic dresses, my favorite is the tribal dress.

Trend on a budget | It's all about the lips

The Edmonton Journal writes:
“The lip print is a recurring theme in 20th-century fashion and pop culture,” says local designer Trisha Pasnak. “Andy Warhol did a few different takes on it, the Rolling Stones have used a variation of it on their albums and merchandise, and Rocky Horror Picture Show has a fairly iconic version.”
“I think the popularity might be due in part to the 50th anniversary of Andy Warhol’s soup can print,” Pasnak continues, “which has contributed to a renewed interest in pop art and mod fashions.”

Q: What do you think of the lip pattern trend? Would you wear kisses on your clothes or accessories?

Lips and kisses

My week of food in pictures, with a filter, obviously

I look at food sites every day for at least half an hour, swooning over the high quality and oh-so-amazing-looking pictures, trying to filter out the recipes that are quick and cheap to prepare and require no more than a total of six ingredients. My dream is to a) be able to cook all those delicious, fancy meals, while b) not trying to get too annoyed and impatience while doing it and c) to take the time to take pretty pictures rather than stuffing it all in immediately after an exhausting and hungry hour of cooking.

I highly doubt this will all ever happen, but I did manage to photograph some of my food from last week with my phone, of course, with a filter to make it look tastier:

1. (Pre-)baked apple cinnamon oatmeal with walnuts and honey.

2. A salad with arugula, fennel, pomegranate, lemon marinated chicken, avocado and a dressing of honey, mustard, lemon zest, salt and pepper.

3. Sweet chili brussels sprouts with Danish frikadeller (I used soy cuisine instead of milk).

4. (Pre-)oven roasted sweet potato, carrots and onions (which you can dip in herb quark or tzatziki afterwards).

5. Banana pancakes (the easiest and tastiest breakfast ever, mix bananas and eggs, bake in coconut oil).

6. Pepper steak with rosemary oven roasted potatoes and a salad with yellow bell pepper, tomatoes, cucumber, avocado and fresh lemon dressing.

7. Tuna salad. I made this for the rest of the week because it's so easy and cheap. Cook pasta, bake corn, red bell pepper, garlic and onion. Combine tuna, olive oil, salt, pepper and mustard (or fatty mayonnaise if you're not on a diet) in a bowl and add all the ingredients together.

8. Scrambled eggs with tofu in sesame oil, topped with cilantro.

Inspiring #fitness #health #clean #eating instagram accounts

It's January 22nd and life has been active! I took out my dusty old gym card, which has been unused for ... do I dare to say this(?), approximately 10 months (auch) and started working out four times a week. In the morning. Before going to work. Funny fact; that thing they say about how you actually start to like the gym the more you go there (endorphin) is true, I think. My gym introduced their new fitness plan with fresh David Kirsch' workout videos yesterday (videos yes, I have the cheapest gym membership out there) and I was excited like a little girl in a candy store. Over workout videos. Can you believe it?

I'm also a big fan of scrolling through inspiring Instagram accounts from pretty, toned girls with perky asses that only eat clean and have a raw chocolate snack whenever they have the munchies, rather than a whole pack of Kinder Bueno's. Here are some of my favorite fitness girls:

1. Hannah Andersson from fashionable fit

2. Jen Selter and her infamous butt

3. Made in Chelsea's Millie Mackintosh

4. Cassey Ho from Blogilates

5. Sarah Ketabi from Eat Feel Fresh
